展覧会として構想されたカタログシリーズ『No Exhibition』の0号。「homonymous publishing house」のディレクター、ヴァレンティノ・トニーニ（Valentino Tonini）がキュレーションを務める。

セス・ジーゲローブ（Seth Siegelaub）がプロデュースし当時最新のテクノロジーであったゼロックス・プリンターを使用して7名の作家に依頼し制作した1968年の歴史的名著『The Xerox Book』。そのコンセプトである「紙の上の展覧会」から着想を得て制作された。シリーズの N.0 となる本書は、「展覧会」を考える場としてテリー・アトキンソン（Terry Atkinson）、ローレンス・ウェイナー（Lawrence Weiner）やジェームス・リー・バイヤース（James Lee Byars）などの作品を紹介しながら、「The Painter's Despair」というテーマを投げかけている。

No Exhibition is a series of catalogues conceived as exhibitions.

Starting from the idea of the “Xerox Book” by Seth Siegelaub in 1968, we are proposing to different curators the pages of a book as place to think of an exhibition.
