アメリカ人フォトグラファーでありアーティスト、ローナ・シンプソン（Lorna Simpson）の作品集。作者はコンセプチュアル・フォトグラフィーにおいて、先駆的なアプローチによる作品を生み出すことで知られるマルチメディア・アーティストである。1990年の「第44回ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ国際美術展」では、同展において作品を展示した初のアフリカ系アメリカ人女性アーティストとなり、同年、「ニューヨーク近代美術館（MoMA）」でも「Projects 23」を展覧し、同館においてもアフリカ系アメリカ人女性アーティストによる初の個展開催として名を残した。

Lorna Simpson is a multimedia artist known for her pioneering approach to conceptual photography. Simpson was the first African-American woman ever to show in the Venice Biennale and to have a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
