本作は、作者のポラロイドを収録した2種類の写真集のうち、ニューヨークに焦点を当てた1冊。デコレーションした箱に入ったほぼ未発表状態だった写真の山は、長い間スタジオの片隅で忘れ去られていたが、2018年にスタジオを引っ越した際に発見されたという。スケートボードカルチャーを象徴する90年代初頭を撮ったポラロイドには、作者らしい被写体への愛と思いやり、リラックスした関係性が表れている。本書では、ニューヨークのブルックリン・バンクスを主な舞台に、ジャスティン・ピアース（Justin Pierce）、ハロルド・ハンター（Harold Hunter）、モーリス・キー（Maurice Key）、ジェフ・パン（Jeff Pang）など、この世代の最も有名なスケーターたちが顔を揃えている。

The artist Ari Marcopoulos came upon the Polaroids reproduced in this volume and its' companion, Polaroids 92- 95 (NY), while moving studios in 2018. Only a few have ever been published before, and the decorated box that housed them, long forgotten. They depict an iconic period of skating from the early nineties with the same ease, grace and affection for his subjects that Marcopoulos is known for. Shot mainly at the Brooklyn Banks in New York it features some of the best known skaters of their generation including Justin Pierce, Harold Hunter, Maurice Key and Jeff Pang, amongst others. “As time has passed there are many names that I remember but some unfortunately I can no longer recall.
